BD Race transmissions have input and output billet shafts, high energy frictions, peak line pressures designed for track use. Intermediate billet shafts are available on request. These transmissions stand out even under the body for they are painted yellow.
This is the only transmission that can boast about being a full roller bearing design. Stock and other transmission rebuilders use thrust washers. This results in soft metal floating around your transmission that eventually settles to the bottom of the pan. This metal plugs up oil pressure ports, causing excessive thrust bearing wear and shorter life. BD eliminates clutch slippage, reduces operating temperatures and increases the transmission life by adding 25% more clutch surface than the stock design. Only the best quality clutch material is used and heavy-duty band apply struts are installed. New electronic solenoids are tested and valve body control functions are set and tested. The BD valve body is built with second gear lock up and can be activated with a BD TorqLoc or AutoLoc.
Each transmission is tested on BD’s transmission dynamometer.
